Hi bonnie,,

>>Again I might be wrong, but you're only talking about basing a form on a class. You're not talking about SUBclassing forms or SUBclassing any other controls. As others here have pointed out this requires some coding.
>
>Yes, you're wrong. I *am* talking about sub-classing a form ... a form that was created visually, and sub-classed visually. It is very easy to do, just as I described earlier.

You described:
Nope! Wrong!! To sub-class a form visually you simply select "Add Inherited Form" when you go to add a new form to your project and then pick from a list of base forms to inherit from. You don't have to do anything to the code.

This does not say that I can SUBclass a form, but rather basing a form on a class. IOW can I visually create inherit classes lets say 2 - 4 levels deep ?

>And the same goes for sub-classing other "complex" UserControls. The only controls that cannot be visually sub-classed are the "simple" controls, like TextBox, ComboBox, ListView, etc.

Ah I see, I guess this is what people talk about then...

What do you mean by "complex" User controls? Somthing simular to VFPs control class? What about containers ? (Really just asking)

>OK, Walter. I really wasn't *that* upset, but you did come across a bit harsh ... maybe I did too. Anyway, I really only started this because I wanted to point out the inaccuracies of your above statement. And you continue to stick to it, even though I've told you that it's not true.

Not sure which statement, but since I really explicitly told "AFAIK" and "as I have been told", the any statment refering to that statment is not inacurate, but rather my understanding is wrong, which was basically I was asking to be proven wrong or confirmed.

>But anyway, I'll call a truce if you will. <s>

Did we have a war then < G > ?
