>>This is so strange. Anders Hejlsberg is pining over how to merge general purpose programming language with database access. Hasn't he hear of Visual FoxPro?

Anders is fully aware of Visual FoxPro and its data-centric features in the language and database. Alan Griver and others on the VS Data team have been in many meetings with Anders and others within Microsoft who are working on adding more and more data-centric language features to .NET programming. Visual FoxPro is and will continue to be closely reviewed by Anders and others within Microsoft for future efforts around data-centric features in .NET programming.
