Is GDI+ available in WinME, have seen this in other O/S's and it was a font mismatch.
I wouldn't use Win ME as you will have continuing spurious unexplainable errors, with no resolution.
There was an earlier thread that said you could copy GDI+ to WIN98 and it worked.
