We wrote an app in C# that collects data from 7 remote servers based on a search and then presents a list to the user - that's it.

Please note that the comparisons might not be fair if both programs access the same data, and you don't restart the computer in between. Due to buffering at the OS level, the second program you run might have an "unfair advantage". Just in case you didn't do it, I suggest you repeat at least one of the tests, like this: do the test in VFP; restart; do the corresponding test in C#. Or, do the C# test on one copy of the data, and the VFP test on another copy of identical data - that should take care of buffering.

Hilmar.
