Nothing changed in it. It was always like the messages area view as this is the only same form being used for both interface.

Yes, that's why we are trying to find a better way and also simpler to understand and use for that option.

The email option and the private message option would do I guess. If you would configure both, you would be notified by email as soon as one occurs and also the private message count would increase by one, thus the option you are referring to in the prior paragraph.
