I'm doing a project on a local staging server, and I need to replicate changes to the database structures to the 'live' server from time to time.

I used EM on my workstation to copy tables from server to server, but now I find that things like default NEWID() values didn't go across. Clearly I'm using the wrong methods.

Then I tried doing a database backup on my staging server and restoring it on the remote box - that doesn't seem to work either.

So here I am asking what replication methods to use in this situation. My staging server is behind a firewall, but I have direct connectivity to both servers through EM.

I think so Brain, but "Snowball for Windows"?
