I think this is something that seriously needs to be done, but I think it's imperitive that it be done with objectivity. I've seen various VFP vs Whatever type presentations and documents and I find that the person is really just trying to sell VFP. When you do that, then you easily overlook powerful features of the other tools--if you are even aware of them.
I fight an uphill battle in a big MS shop. There has been some success, but there are also times where I recommend that we use other tools that VFP.
