Terry, it's a decision to support what's core to the company. It's nothing personal and no slight is intended for VFP but if the market for VS.Net were to die tomorrow, MS would be far more hurt than if VFP died tomorrow.

You think???? Are you actually going out on a limb saying that VFP is not strategic to MS - but .NET is. NO WAY! This has always been an unclear issue. Glad you cleared this one up....

What esoteric details John? The entire contribution of VFP at MS is likely in the range of being a rounding error - as compared to .NET. Let's see, the total number of people on the VFP team - 10-15. The total number of people involved in .NET - several thousand maybe???

I don't recall hearing Bill G. say "We bet the company on VFP"....

If people do not undersand this by now - well - they have had their heads in the sand...
