Ok, I understand. Now let's do what they (Microsoft) do. They do not process images at run-time.
They use characters from Wingdings and Webdings fonts, no images. These are symbol fonts with very many symbols including arrows and cross images. So they actually use text labels on buttons.
In a case of XP-themes they use images from the theme resource library. The images are predefined to color scheme.
But I didn't saw any example of accessing theme API and aquiring theme images from VFP.
