Hi

I have a developed a multi language application in VB 6 that is supposed to run on windows 2000 proffessional. From the recordset i use in the database i get a japanese phrase. i get it correctly in some cases and in others i get a constant 0xBF value that represents a sort of y in japanese. I have checked this problem against the following variables and they do not change the result:

1. MDAC versions
2. Presence of VB 6 on machine
3. Input location, Japanese or English
4. Code pages ( all code pages or default code pages)
5. IME set to english or japanese for default
6. Changing display font to Unicode fixes visual problems but not internal recorset data fetch problem.

ANy idea what i should do to get my desired values. I can send screenshots and code if you want
