We have a vertical market app , our customers typically have a small three or four user system using windows netowrking. We have noticed that our customers runnnig XP PRO are experiencing a lot of errors from locked files. Many times the system must be rebooted to unlock the files. The same exact applciaiton running on Windows 2000 doesn't have the problem with locked files.

This is a mature multi-user applicaiton using bufferring, tableupdate, etc , we are positive the problem is something to do with XP since everyhting works fine in 2000. We have the app in VFP7 and VFP 8, the problem is the same in both, 2000 is OK, XP has problems.

Is anyone aware of anything different in XP that could be casuing the problem ?
