This applies to MIXED systems, with XP and earlier systems. In this case the "cure" is to make an XP system the custodian of the data.

We have noticed that our customers runnnig XP PRO are experiencing a lot of errors from locked files. Many times the system must be rebooted to unlock the files. The same exact applciaiton running on Windows 2000 doesn't have the problem with locked files.
