The second edition is updated with some of the MANY new things that happened since the original was written. Basically the book incorporates to the basic ideas notions of OOP, and to the original samples, C++, Java and VB code. It also walks you close some methodology issues like Agile and XP.

Definitively you should get the Second edition.
