1. does your VFP program return anything ? is the RetVal Catching it?
2. Take a look at IDDispatch in help.
3. IF you have exposed your objects in VB, then you can call them via a mesg handle / mesg window handle and assign values to objects in VB from INSIDE VFP.

4. You could always write a low level text file in vfp, and then read that in VB [a small hack that will get you going for a bit].

its been a long time since I did that stuff, but at the time, it was both in Version 6 [VB and VFP] and it worked rather well.
