A lot???? I seriously doubt it. First off, there are few Fox developers who have expert level skills in VFP+SQL Server. Many have a lot of "theorhetical" knowledge - but few have ever developed ones that were significant. And note too that they want specific experience with stored procs.

Also, it should be noted that they are looking for somebody with project management experience. Again, not too many have serious/appreciable experience with this AS WELL AS deep technical knowledge and experience putting VFP with SQL Server.

Exactly. I know maybe 10 people (and I am being generous on the # here) in the Fox world that meet these qualifications. And yes, just so there is no dispute here - I would be one of those people, along with Paddock, Duffy, and a few others. They will have to pay at least $150-200K (at least) a year for this person. If they get somebody for less, then they came WAY down on their job requirements.

One has to wonder why they are committed to Fox. My guess? Whomever the primary decision maker is - that is what they know - and that is what is driving the decision.

If they decide to go forward in Fox - then if they are smart, they will use DataClas/VFP. The biggest - and most successful Fox/SQL Server apps that have been written have gone that route. I know this becuase I either wrote the specific app or was part of the team that wrote the app.

As somebody who has - since 1999 - written 15+ large scale C/S apps in Fox, and who has put teams together and mentored/managed people, it is a tough job and a rare mix of skills.

Hey...they list MaxFrame as an experience requirement. That right there tells you they are in deep ca ca....

I am sure there are a few vultures getting ready to dive in for the kill....
