You've been a great help, and I appreciate it. Especially your comment about the speed, which is mightily disappointing. My customer really loves the printer for reliability and speed, but has a very esthetic mind and would like the receipt to look nicer.

I think I'll try a test of performance. It's as bad as I'm now afraid it will be, it won't matter what approach we take for printing.
