Back when you had to do the old "@row, col SAY" business, you also had to worry about what printer the thing was being hooked up to, besides just the format. In my mind, we've come an awful long way and I, for one, am very thankful.

Be thankful that you do not deal with (Belgina) customs and airlines. They still believe in preprinted documents. And at this stage, even with my 233 Mhz MMX 64 Meg stations, scanning the image an using that in the report writer is too slow. We cannot afford to miss a plain because a form takes 1 second too much. At 5:00 pm, half a dozen printer start printing and 5:05 pm the truck leaves. So I think I will be doing some formatting still,
It does pay the bill ... :)
