I am not talking about an Oracle dependent system. As far as the front end is concerned, it is just communicating with a database. What goes on inside the database is entirely a black-box operation - totally encapsulated from the front-end. If the customer uses sql server, then you implement the sql server db. If the customer uses oracle, then you implement the oracle db, etc, etc.
