Hi Russell
You could create an exe on the server which would determine if your application has been installed on the new PC. This exe could either perform the actual installation or act as a launcher for already installed applications.
I'm certain the different launcher apps could be modified for this purpose.
>Most of my clients install VFP applications on a Server and VFP Runtime files on the Client PC. This works fine.
>But from time to time they go to another PC and try to run the EXE from the server. This gives an ugly error because the VFP runtime files are missing on this PC.
>Any suggestions on how to trap this error and give a more meaningful message?

>No wise-cracks please. If you do not have an answer to this specific question, please do not respond, as you are discouraging another person from looking at this qusetion.
