>Did you feel after you went through the VB.NET course that you could jump right on a VB.NET project and be effective/productive?

mmmmmm...well probably so if I would of done it in a shorter amount of time ... I was so busy at the time I only spent a couple of hours a week messing with it.
I notice the other's have said things about the stuff on the MS website (tutorials, walkthoughs, samples, etc.) - and I think that's some reaaaaally good advice. I really used the appdev thing as more of a guide to know where to start and the order to learn the stuff in- so I'd do some of the appdev stuff - then go hunt down some walk-thoughs on the ms website and play around the the vb.net resource kit. There are going to be a lot cheaper ways to do that than spend the $ on this thing (a good book for example would be like $50). For me I wanted the appdev thing because I liked the idea of the videos with a human talking - seems like when I learn things that way it sticks with me a little better. Anyway I guess it depends on what you feel is the way you learn the best - everyone's different. I'd sure hate to see you spend that much money on the thing based on just my adivce though, hopefully you can find some others that have bought it and talk to them.

>>I bought both the C#.NET one and VB.NET one. I haven't spent anytime yet on the C#.NET one, but I did the VB.NET one. I thought it was pretty good - there were a couple of places where I wished they would of gone a little faster but overall I satisifed with it.
