Craig's right a clean install would be better. I have upgraded a friends computer from ME to XPPRO and the only major problem was I should have uninstalled ZoneAlarm before the upgrade. Several other programs still needed to be re-installed before they would work properly. Go from scratch, you'll probably be better off in the long run.
