When you change font under Tools -> Options -> IDE Tab for Type: Code Windows, don't forget to check the Overide individual settings checkbox. Deleteting foxuser.dbf is another way to fix it.

The only way to fix it to modify the font of edit window from it's properties page. I changed it the global font setting for methods and prgs from option window but that didn't do a thing.
