Absolutely, he's provided me with some very good advice. I've also provided equal amounts of advice to others, and I don't know if any of that qualifies as a 'mentor'.

Just so I'm clear...you acknowledge an appreciation for one's comments, but disqualify them because of an acknowledged admiration for another person whom you don't like.

Discount all you must, and enjoy it along the way if you wish, I really don't care - it's obvious you're doing so for personal reasons.
