The default is 1024 bytes, I believe. Just put in a higher value and test to see if the situation improves. If it does, then we can proceed. Let me know.

I do similar here with some old CNC machines. The 'files' are well formed, with control characters that define the blocks and end of file. Very easy if your situation is similar to make it bullet-proof.
