You should be able to do this the same way you connect to SQL Server over your LAN. You'll just need some kind of dial-up access to your network. Since you're using Windows NT Server, you could use its built-in RAS capability to dial-in. Once you're connected, you should be able to access SQL Server like anyone else on the network.
