I'm not saying that this is the only way to do, just how I do. As with yourself everything should be taken case of by the subclasses etc and I barely ever have to override a setting anyway.

However, that said... My system stores a procedure ID with the push and allows them to be rolled off if you get caught by an error handler (if you want to). I can also dump the entries to an array as part of the error report.

I am often working with other peoples code that has/is problematic and a quick global replace allows me to quickly get control of others work (well it helps). Having seperate project run and debug states allows me to preserve theirs for the run time but test using my own. With a slight extension I can also get some localisation versions (you americans still dont understand that it's dd/mm/yy!

As with anything else in vfp it is house rules which is why no one can agree on exit stratergies!
