Separate product, only for viruses/worms. Each security tool does only one type of task.

But as the spyware gets nastier all the time, soon it may need to be treated as a virus, even though it doesn't propogate like one - but spyware can still cause plenty of problems. I've cleaned a few machines at work that had so much spyware (including EXEs launching at startup) that the machines basically just stopped functioning, and we had to do OS reinstalls in a few really bad cases, the spyware was so pervasive, tangled up all-through the registry and files.

But I'm hoping, and expect to see someday, an "aggregate security tool" that will handle all of the bad stuff in one single app. I'll buy one!

I'm glad you solved your problem, anyway, Michel, I saw that in another post. That was a different problem than I've seen so far (and knock-on-wood).
