I'v posted a few questions like this before, but I'm still gather info
at this point, so...

I have a VFP 7 app written against Fox2x tables. I'd like to rewrite in
VFP 8. This time, I'd like to set it up so that, in the not to distant
future, I can switch to SQL Server. For now however, I'll have to stick with
the Fox2x tables.

I was considering a multi-tier approach, with the a tier that gathers
data and presents it to the GUI layer.

I am sure the structure of the data will change when the transition to
SQL is made, and I'd prefere to not have to go back into the GUI and rewrite.
So any data passed to the GUI would have to confirm to a structure the GUI
would already be set up to use.

I have been considering using COM objects and either passing the data
as XML or ADO.

I'm open to any suggestions.

Thanks
