I have a client that has asked for the following:

They want to be able to generate the same Crystal report to both a PDF and a PCL file.

I can programmatically generate to PDF easily - only way I know to generate to PCL is to initiate output directly to the printer, and capture the print options through the .NET framework to send the output to PCL (for the default printer).

However, the client has stated that I can't assume the default printer is PCL-compatibile. They want to be able to generate the output to PCL, independent of the printer.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
