Well, I'll be dipped! Now it is working for me too with localizeapp set to false. Now my labels are back to where they were and my app is working exactly as it was before the update. Deja vue all over again...
I guess it must have something to do with VS.NET not refreshing things on the form and web.config that are unchanged from one MM.NET rev to another, even if I rebuild the solution and reboot the machine. I finally decided to change a whole bunch of things in both areas, and then it started working.
Go figure. I have less and less patience playing with these games. This kind of stuff (too) sure is much less of a hassle, easier and more reasonable with VFP...
I think it was one of Isaac Asimov's characters who said:"If you see the future, you will have no future any more." I for one hope I'm not seeing the future with this VS.NET stuff... But looking back into the history I remember that it generally takes Microsoft three tries before they get it right. We are now in try # 1.5 or so. Hope springs.
