Thanks for the response. Setting the backstyle only works on the backcolor only, not the forecolor.

Try this - setup a grid with an editbox in one of its columns with the backstyle set transparent. The grid should be set with highlightstyle to 2, allowcellselection to .F., highlightbackcolor to RED and highlightforecolor to white. Now try browsing in the grid. The highlightbackcolor works great, but the highlightforecolor is not used in the Editbox.

This is by design ( a fully bad design ).


Even if you directly set the forecolor to white in the editbox, it STILL shows up black. ...
