Thanks for help. i use almost the same code, but still have the error message. the problem is that some indices have an expression using an UDF. when opening the table, this function is needed. i have a code delete this reference but it's rather complicated to rewrite it for different tables so i was interested if there is another way to open a dbf without its index. it seems to me there isn't...
