When you say "I had tried subclassing it" do you have hooked the form messages with SetWindowsHookEx (i tried to hook but the only message hooked with WM_MSGFILTER was WM_MENUSELECT) or do you have sobsituted the messages dispatcher funtion of the form with SetWindowLong ?
I'm not an expert on Windows programmation.
