I have no problem understanding your point of view, it's just that MS is not going to change their target marget towards the ones who are unlikely to buy it. History dictates much of a marketing stategy. It's why your favorite TV show is dropped halfway through a season. You may think it's great, but if it's not watched it's gone. There are limited resources for training/learning in Fox compared to some of the newer technologies. Yeah, I know, lots of books, Jim Duffy, conferences, etc... But compare that to what's available for other languages. Not just through MS, but through private vendors. I can't remember the last time I saw a Foxpro book at the bookstore that wasn't hidden in the discount rack. Why would MS market towards that to a bunch of new people who are likely going to buy one of the newer languages anyway? That's my point of view.

>>I believe that your missing the point of a target market. MS knows that their best bet is to sell to those who already have a history with Foxpro. I can't believe that graduates are coming out of university with any knowledge of Foxpro, but I'm sure there are many who came out aware of VB and probably now .NET. Who is MS going to try and get to buy the new version of Fox? Them? No. Us. Craig is right; we are their target market whether you feel it's correct or not.
>>
>>>Sorry, Craig, but this is a falacy, because any company that is seling a product *just* to a bunch of people can say "that's" their target market, as an excuse for not selling to others.
>>>
>>>What I understand by any company, producing developer tools, as their target market is developers, not just those that *still* use one of their tools (in this case, us).
