It's been explained here before. Visual Studio is the premier developer tool and the one that will get the marketing dollars. Would I like to see VFP marketed to non-VFP developers? Of course. The reality is, it won't happen.
Look at .NET and VS today and you'll see lots of Fox things in there. You'll also see more over time, including "integration of data and language" (
