Which goes back to my point: from what I've seen, they didn't really intend to add cutting-edge things such as web enhancements to VFP9(haven't done so since VFP7). Therefore, nobody is really anxious to upgrade since the improvements are, at best, incremental. But, again, to say it's because of a shortage of ideas is ridiculous - Ken and MS have chosen not to put in the cutting-edge features into the latest versions for whatever reason. To blame developers for not upgrading, IMHO and because of this, is also ridiculous...

>Assuming the post accurately quotes Ken, I read this as, "unless there are features that could be added to VFP that will convince our target market (existing VFP customers) to upgrade to this version, we won't be releasing it". I'd bet a lot of this hinges on how well VFP 9 does. If a lot of developers don't upgrade, even with all the enhancements to the report writer, I think it's safe to say (again, assuming the quote is accurate) there won't be a VFP 10. If they can't sell to existing VFP developers (which should be EASY compared to selling to new customers), I can understand their decision.
