Hi perti,
The winzip selfextractor does not require Winzip to be installed. The question here is simply how to extract without any dialog.
Walter,

Instead, I'd like to run the self-extractor from my VFP application and pass parameters for the target folders and settings.

http://www.gzip.org/zlib/ for a free compression utility (no dependencies, just a dll -file)
