Hi Rod:

This was circulating of ProFox and I prefer to hear it directly from the source rather than through what might have been said or not said or misunderstood, etc.

My intent was merely to have Ken say that's what I said, or no its a misquote, here is what I said...

FWIW the quote sounds suspect to me...

>>>He felt that the product was
>>> very complete now and unless we as a VFP developers could come up with
>>> enough new ideas to make the product sell more, there would be no 10.

>Why is there a sudden lack of features that can be added to this product.

>I know of a bunch I asked for over the years that never got put in the product. One example was index tags that are > 10 characters. COM debugging, heck they did a major overhaul to the Rep Writer how about menus. How about a scroll bar class, or how about better integration tools for SQL Server/Oracle/Etc.... How about making sure VFP works with Team System.

>Telling customers you better make some good suggestions or we'll kill the product is foolish. Can you imagine Toyota saying hey you customer figure out what you want or we'll discontinue the camry. Come on..... the people working on the product should know what to add. Again most of the people on the team are previous VFP developers and should have their own wish lists.
