I have the HP820cse and have similar problems. I have a friend who is a Microsoft EOM. He has been in contact with HP and finds that they usually have no intentions in updating their drivers, even though there is a problem. With mine, there is a setting in the driver called ICN, it has a checkbox. Don't know what it means, but the resources don't go down as badly when it is checked. My friend told me about this. Problem? It unchecks itself every now and then!!! HP knows about this, but still hasn't made an updated driver.

Since it's the only printer I have, I must live with the problem.
