Hi, Kevin.

>Yes, I have, cover to cover, not once but twice. (OK, I didn't read all of the FoxPro code, but basically yes). I read it when it first came out, and then re-read it (and re-read Kevin McNeish's book) about two weeks ago. [large snip]
Thank a lot for the long and rich feedback. I forward the mesage to Les, who does not read the forum regularly.
Interestingly, some of the downsides you point to was the ones we discussed more about, coming from quite diferent experiences.
The last phrase on the last chapter was the worst editing error Sams commited, I think. They decided to chop the book there, but failed to edit that. Les was very sad about this single line.
Luckily, we are now working on the Spanish version of the book, and Les self-translated all the book, rewriting a great deal of it, and improving many of these issues. Indeed, he will try to convince Sams to release a Second Edition improving the English version with all this. If this works, I'll let you know.
Thanks again for the time taken for this.
Regards,
