Yes, more or less. However, since I let the user see auditing information, what I did is copy all records up to a certain date, keeping 2-3 months of auditing data.

You will have to see how fast your audit table grows, before you make your decisions.

One more thing to remember is that a single command like REPLACE ALL - or some special process, like "Recalculate all prices", can create thousands of records in the audit table! You might want to consider disabling the generation of audit information in some cases.
