I tried that for a while - I told the 'boss' that by not mowing every week, the longer blades of grass would act as a moisture trap - thus be environmentally friendly because it would reduce the required watering and polution (due to a more limited mowing schedule) - needless to say the 'boss' is not an environmentalist - perhaps an appeal to the boss's literary sensitivies would have worked better - I will have to examine that paradigm next mowing cycle!
