Has anyone ever tried to programatically convert PDF files to PCL on-demand? Ideally, as a process with no need for user intervention.

I took a look at GhostScript, which has a PDF2PCL utility. Unfortunately, any PDF I pass it generates all types of errors, including messages that the PDF "isn't recognized as a valid PDF".

Because the support for GhostScript is through a mailing group list, I don't know how quickly I'll receive a response to the e-mail I sent them.

At any rate, has anyone tried to do this? There are products on PDF Zone and Planet PDF that might do this, but wanted to first see if anyone had tried this.
