>>I have a couple of reports that generate mailer cards and billing statements. Some of our clients print them on dot matrix printers (tractor feed). These forms are 6" and/or 8.5" long. It seems that the Report generator doesn't let you control the page length and I'm stuck with the printer dialog's paper size selections which doesn't give me the size I need. Any ideas ?

You can print to a text file using the generic print driver and work with that, although you might have to do it from dos to avoid the printer driver, and you can also export an ouput to WORD or some other word processor to better handle the form.

Thank you for your advice, guys. At this point I have several choices, none is as clean as I want it to be. I hoped that I would be able to control the form size from VFP, but that is limited to the form type supported by the printer driver. You are right Brett, most of the common DM pdrivers let you setup a User defined paper size. That would work to some extent, as well as using the Generic printer.
I wonder if there is a way to change the User defined paper size on the fly (may be a call thru API)??

Thanks,
Sorin
