Just as a follow-up, I came across a published article that might be of some interest.

In the Jan/Feb 2004 issue of CoDe Magazine, there is an article with the title "Dynamically Adding Controls", by Jim Duffy. Now, the article covers ASP.NET pages and the code is VB.NET (whereas I believe you're using Winforms and C#), but it still might be worth a look for you.

(And I should amend my earlier post on available resources...if you don't already subscribe to it, CoDe magazine is a must for .NET developers. They've had several years of tremendous coverage of .NET, and you can get past issues from their web site.
