There is not that kind of need. I don't know who mislead you.
For you will be better to read artical of Zaheer Mohammad(SaudiArabia)UT#37048 for Application which use RightToLeft writing or to ask Jaime Pinto (Israel)UT#7209 about this issues.

Both are MS VFP beta testers and could help you even if you have problems with VFP9
