Welcome Hugh,

The persistent relationships between tables is not stored in BO code but in the DBC. The reason you have parent/child relationship established in BO code is to fire BO logic based on parameters at runtime (e.g. , 'save child on save parent', 'cancel child on cancel parent', etc.)
