Would anyone have any VB.NET Business Object Templates (e.g. CodeSmith) or Examples of Business Objects that they have successfully used with the MM.NET Framework?

I guess I'm trying to determine best practices that are useful to everyone.
For example, may people use enumerations to allow ADO.NET to work with numeric collection values for speed and at the same time permit an "English-like" intellisense when accessing the properties in .NET.

Do people use Properites with corresponding Get/Set Accessors?
Do people use Changed Events to notify when a Property changes?
Do people use validation in the BO Set Accessors?
What common functions do people use regularlly in BOs?
Do people use Windows role based security within the BOs (e.g. check permissions functions)?

ANY guideance, examples, or templates are most welcomed.
