No, you didn't miss the obvious.

I put a lot of stuff in the first post, so it was easy to overlook pieces.

Moving from procedural to OOP, I know VFP can do it, what I don't know is how.

I have sample code for VB (attached) and Delphi. But I don't know where to start in VFP.

There is a winsock activeX component, but I don't see the pieces needed to access the remote DLL, query their API and then process the XML.

What I was looking for was kind of an outline of steps in VFP.
