VFP5 SP3

I have an older project that hasn't been changed in a couple of years. Today, I made some changes, went to recompile into an .EXE and got the above message. It happens every time.

I went through the threads I could find here on this topic. One common cause seems to be a bad FOXUSER table. I renamed mine, problem not solved.

Another person mentioned encountering this as a result of a corrupted view. Since I had added a new table and a new view, I deleted them. Problem persists.

I've issued PACK DATABASE and VALIDATE DATABASE RECOVER on the database in question. Both run properly but do not fix the problem.

I restored all the files from earlier this month, before any changes had been made. Problem persists, even after deleting the FOXUSER files again.

I know I was *looking* at the old files before the beginning of this month, so it's possible something got changed inadvertently. I'm in the process of restoring from an April backup, which should definitely be unchanged from the last build which was OK.

In the meantime, and in case the problem still persists, does anyone have any other experiences or ideas on how this could happen, or possible solutions? TIA.
